Ponychan’s /merch/ reports that wave 2 blind bags are in Times Square, Texas and Pennsylvania. This means that we should expect them to pop up in about a month or so in the rest of America.
This picture is a screen shot of the wave 2 toys and numbers from Strawberry Reef, so feel free to go there to look them up. The figures are listed with the numbers on the collector’s cards, so if they choose to use the 5 digit codes on the packaging, the numbers won’t be correct.
Want to know a neat work around for the 5 digit code? Just ignore 3 of the numbers! For example, in wave 1, sparkly Rainbow Dash is number 24 on her card. Her packging code is 22445. If you just look at the second and fourth numbers, it’s _2_4_, or 24. This system works for wave 4 as well, since we have both card numbers and 5 digit codes for them. So no matter what numbers are on the wave 2 packages, you’ll be all set!
Wave 2 packaging is more dark purple then pink, and the background is Ponyville, instead of Canterlot. The figures include the Mane 6 again, characters that were features as recolor playful ponies (Feathermay, Blossomforth, Star Swirl, etc), Cheerilee, ponies from G3, and sparkly Rarity, Applejack, and Fluttershy.
You can wait for the Crystal Empire bling bag set to come out, so you don’t have to worry about the special edition, since people who know the bag codes tend to go straight after them.
